SHUBHO BIJOYA to all the members and well wishers of Srihatta Sammilani Delhi.
As we enter to our 65th year of event full existence, my heart goes out to the members who conceptualized and founded this excellent organisation and those who nurtured it for decades with utmost selflessness. Dedicated in the service of Sylleti community in the NCR region, the Sammilani went steps ahead in fulfilling the socio-cultural aspirations of other communities too during past years. With the idea to nourish the social fabric of our country, we as a responsible organisation tried to blend multifaceted cultural streams in single rope. Apart from this, the Sammilani was continuously involved in organising public welfare programmes.Last year during the most unwarranted flood scenario in Assam, members selflessly engaged themselves to help the flood victims at Silchar. Our members, along with few large hearted volunteers of the city, worked day and night for around two months, from providing drinking water to the victims to the sanitisation of the city. I take this opportunity to thank one and all who came forward and helped financially or physically at the hour of public distress.
Today when we meet for celebration of Bijoya Utsav, I hope all our members and well wishers will rejuvenate and commit themselves for the greater cause of the society in the days to come.
May Maa Durga shower her blessings to all of us. Let all of us live in an atmosphere of fellow feeling and togetherness.
